The Pierce County Health Careers Council and WorkForce Central, in partnership with Pacific Lutheran University, are hosting high school students from all areas of Pierce County at the Annual Pierce County Health Career Day.

School Registration: Sept 06-11, 2011
(Schools must pre-register prior to student registration—classes will be filled on a first come, first served basis)

Student Registration: Sept 12 – 30, 2011

Exhibitor Registration Deadline: Sept 01, 2011

Presenter Registration Deadline: May 31, 2011

The fifth annual Pierce County Health Career Day will be held in Tacoma, Washington on the campus of Pacific Lutheran University. This exciting partnership will provide a rich experience for area high school students. Career workshop sessions will be available to participants. Health professionals from a vast range of health care fields will share their expertise and present their first-hand experience.

Educational requirements, job options, and the realities and demands of a career in healthcare will be discussed. Students will have scheduled time to visit the Exhibitors' Hall as one of their career session choices. This is their opportunity to speak with and gather information from educational institutions and area employers. Major health education providers in Washington will attend, including community and technical colleges, and universities.
